Myself as an Yoshitaka Amano version of Aerith Gainsborough from Final Fantasy VII. Photo taken by Al [Eurobeat King] at Katsucon 2009. This is the costume I've been busting my bum over for weeks and it sadly didn't get anywhere near completion for the convention. The main garments are mostly finished, but there is a gregarious amount of detailing and accessorizing left to do. Still, I was very happy with what I had accomplished for Katsucon. The jacket and bodice are fully-lined, and about 60 hours of hand-beading and custom painting have gone into the costume thus far. Seems like such a short list, but I should definitely have over 200 hours into this sucker by the time I'm happy. ^__^; This is the only shot of the costume that has turned up thus far, but I had several fantastic shoots in Amano Aerith at the convention, so I can't wait to share more once they're processed!

Oh, and as embarrassed as I am to admit this, a friend of mine lured me into entering the hall contest, despite the OBVIOUS unfinished nature of the costume. I ended up somehow snagging a Judge's Award. I felt it was extremely undeserved, but it gives me the extra push to plod onward with my beading! XD
