Artisan Crafts / Costumery

Myself as Lulu from Final Fantasy X. Photo taken by Ollie [Orobouros.net] at Anime Next 2008. Here's the stereotypical "boob pose." Enjoy. XP I've had a lot of people inquire about the wig for this costume, and so I'd like to take this opportunity to explain: It is actually constructed from a shoulder-length black wig, which was styled extensively, pulled back, and stubbed. Afterward I braided several packs of matching extensions and attached the braid-bun and longer braids separately. I made this styling decision based upon some prior experience [several years ago, one of my best friends cosplayed Lulu and had a nightmare of a time trying to style a waist-length wig into Lulu's extremely detailed coif], and I have to recommend the method for any future Lulu cosplayers! It definitely beats having to mess with those silly Godiva and Enchantment wigs. :3 As I have mentioned in previous uploads of this cosplay, please ignore the belts, as they were a rush job and not nearly as detailed as I would one day like for them to be. ^__^; Also a slight disclaimer that my costume is based primarily off of Nomura's concept art, and so there are a few slight deviations from the version of Lulu you may be familiar with from the game [brown fur, additional earrings, etc].
