Artisan Crafts / Costumery

Myself as Karin Koenig from Shadow Hearts: Covenant. Photo taken by Claire [Final_Memories] at Anime Expo 2006. This costume was one of my favourites to construct [I REALLY love her costume design], though I never managed to finish the boot covers for it. Shadow Hearts is such an under-appreciated series, and Covenant in particular really grabbed my attention. If you love intelligent, turn-based RPGs and have a particular interest in history and folklore, I highly, highly recommend them! This entire costume was constructed by myself, though the sword was made by John Kalpowsky.

Thank you! Honestly, it's been so long since I made it, I can't remember what the process was like. I remember getting very frustrated with the lace detailing and epaulets, and of course I never managed the boot covers because they were too much of a pain. I obviously have no idea what sort of sewing experience you've had, but I'd say it's definitely not something for a beginner to tackle. Hope this has helped!
