Construction Notes:
I can't believe I forgot to upload images of my "Doctor Donna" costume from this past Katsucon! Granted, I still have a LOT of work left to do in order to make her coat and belt screen-accurate, but I was just so excited to dress up as this wonderful, sassy lady, I wore it anyway! The grey tunic was bought on eBay and hemmed, the belt and fuchsia undershirt were bought at stores, and the coat was a lucky find on Etsy. Funnily enough, the wig is actually the same style as my Rinoa wig, purchased from one of my favorite obscure wig vendors, Instabeau -- they are my favorite for natural colors and cuts, so check them out! As I mentioned, there are loads of inaccuracies in my coat and belt, but I hope to fix those at some point in the future. I have a lot of respect for costumers who put together these seemingly simple "casual" costumes from TV shows and movies -- it's a lot of work, hunting down pre-existing garments that closely match those worn by the actors. Several times I actually thought about making that darn jacket, it was so difficult to find the correct color and a cut that was close enough to alter, but thankfully Etsy pulled through!
