Lockhart.

Myself as Tifa Lockhart from Final Fantasy VII. Photos taken by Paul [PopeCerebus] at Otakon 2009. Tifa was one of my new projects for the summer, and ended up being my absolute favourite to construct and wear! I'll admit it, I enjoyed being every FFVII fanboy's dream date. ^__^; Every article of the costume was constructed by me with the exception of the socks, which were purchased from the marvelous ladies at Sock Dreams, and the top, which I altered somewhat. I also purchased the base gloves, but I altered them to the point that they no longer resemble their former selves, LOL. Every bit of the shoes that you see, with the exception of the black sole, is made of carefully patterned, molded, and painted craft foam, adhered to the base of an enormous hiking boot. You can see close-ups and a bit of a tutorial on this particular item elsewhere in my gallery. The skirt and belt are made from a fashion-weight stretch pleather and the skirt is lined in black twill. The suspenders were hand-sewn from the same pleather. The wig is styled from one of my favourite base wigs, the Misty from Cosworx. The elbow armor was made of craft foam using the same technique I used with the shoes. Ironically, it was the easiest part of the entire costume. You can't see my earrings in these shots, but I probably spent at least 5-6 hours on separate occasions scouring the internet for lookalikes, hunted through the beading section of every craft store in my area [and there are many], and was on the verge of molding my own when I happened upon the perfect pair at Walmart for $5. I felt like a right special snowflake, let me tell you. Also unvisible are my dark red contacts; an homage to the original Nomura art. Thanks to Paul for these lovely photos!
