Myself as Seras Victoria from Hellsing. Photo taken by Lionel Lum at Ohayocon 2008. This is the "blood" version of Seras from the later Hellsing manga [it's hard to explain without spoiling major bits of the plot, but suffice to say she undergoes quite a wicked transformation XD]. Yes, I know that my version differs quite a bit from the "wine red" action figure that was released, but I quite liked the thought of being realistically blood-splattered, LOL. I could probably write a short novel on why I chose to do certain aspects of the costume the way I did, but suffice to say that I was trying to be more accurate to the manga's portrayal of her than anything else. ^__^ Lionel is an absolute artist at what he does, and this photoshoot is no exception. He somehow manages here to make me look terrifying in a beautiful way, which is really quite appropriate considering the event which brought about this transformation in Seras. [And yes, I do know the patch is on the wrong side! It has since been fixed. :3]
Please no critiques/criticism. I'd like to keep this gallery happy! <3
Thank you! So glad you enjoyed it. I used several different types of blood for the costume. The costume was splattered with a mixture of fabric dye and acrylic paint, and I used two different types of Mehron theatrical blood for the makeup.
I have been using a huge bottle of Ben Nye Blood for a couple years now. I am fairly happy with it, but I always like to know what other brands are doing. Wheeeee.
I also have the feeling that her yellow uniform is dyeing with blood, so it's blood red. I love both interpretation, wine red or blood splatter. It makes a bit differences, but I like it anyway. You did a great bloody Seras. I really love this version of her, rather than the yellow police uniform. ^^
What make of blood did you use to do the effect? What company... or was it an original recipe?
