Construction Notes:
I'm finally getting around to editing more of this past spring/summer's con photos, so now I can share more of Mei with you. :3 I love that Ashley chose to shoot this costume in a creepy concrete stairwell -- it seemed to fit well with the latter portion of the manga, where Mei is traveling underground with Envy. Speaking of Envy, I'm very thankful for my boyfriend Miles [CaptainMiles] for the time and effort he put into crafting him! I love this shot especially because you can see some of the hot glue "drool" hanging down from the little guy's mouth. C: I also like this image because it really shows the bulk and weight of the costume. I put a lot of care into lining the garments and choosing durable fabrics that a traveler/warrior like Mei might wear. It was a nice change from the light and flowy costumes I've worked on in the past year or two.
