Myself as Aerith Gainsborough, inspired by Yoshitaka Amano's concept artwork for Final Fantasy VII. Photo taken by Kevin [SolarTempest] at Katsucon 2009. I love so many of the shots Kevin took of this costume last February, but his use of the scenery in this one is wonderful. This was really the tiniest patch of grass, but he managed to make it look quite expansive; the city in the background is very Midgar-like! I recently finished replaying the first disc of FFVII and am struck with the urge to finally finish this costume, as it is still very incomplete, despite getting a few more beads on it and remaking the belt for A-Kon. Costume and wig constructed/styled by myself.

Very nice costume; even though the palette is different since it's from an Amano concept, I could still recognise her at first glance!
